I've found my furever family!

Henry has been with us for a week now and his transformation has been truly remarkable. While he started out nervous and uneasy in his new space, he has adapted to our home and being part of pack as if he has always been with us. He has an unbelievably good temperament for being a stray dog – he is gentle and playful and loving with our other 3 dogs in the house and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He has shown zero food aggression and does not resource guard. He even let our other dog share a food bowl with him with zero issue. He loves being a house dog now and does very well inside. We have continued to see a very playful side of him, he loves to roll on his back and get belly rubs. He plays great with our dogs in the yard, including with toys. He has great food manners, will sit when prompted for a treat and takes very softly. He has quickly learned to walk on a leash and is great on walks in the neighborhood. He doesn’t pull or react to other dogs or humans along the way. He has become very affectionate and loyal to us and just wants to be close to you as much as possible. He also got to play with our 5 year old niece and he did great with her. He also seems to do well in the car, we drove an hour to an appt and he was mellow and comfortable in the back seat.  

In summary - he is gentle and affectionate - playful when encouraged and mellow otherwise. He is eager to learn and adapts extremely quick to every environment we have put him in. He is a fan favorite with every person he meets and loves meeting new people and pets. He has an undeniable sweetness to him in everything he does. He is smart and receptive but also perfectly goofy and fun. He is visibly over the moon to have a home and a family and is the most deserving pup. He loves his time with the other dogs and would love to have permanent fur siblings in his forever home. He also loves being close to his people and would thrive in a home where he gets to have his human around often. We know Henry will make the perfect best friend and family dog for whoever is lucky enough to welcome him into their home.
