Hera is a seven month old beagle mix puppy looking for a patient furever home who will give her the love and support she needs! She spent two of the first five months of her life in a shelter without access to much human socialization, so she is currently skittish and timid around new people and new situations. But Hera doesn’t let her past define her – she is working hard at socialization by getting to know new dogs, people, and environments while on long walks through the neighborhood. She is already becoming more sure of herself when meeting new dogs! After you spend time with Hera, her confidence grows and she becomes quite the cuddlebug: once she gets comfortable with a new person, she sticks like glue and loves to snuggle, too!
Hera has lots of puppy energy and an inquisitive nature – she loves to play and chew on chew toys before collapsing for a nap! She barks while playing and meeting new dogs, but does not bark reactively at the doorbell, people walking past the house, etc. Hera is leash trained, pee pad trained, and mostly potty trained, but she will need patience and additional training in her permanent home in order to be fully potty trained since she takes time to warm up to new environments.
