My name is Trusty (from the Lady and the Tramp movie). I’m a long haired Chihuahua - corgi mix, which means I will not be very big. Right now I weigh 8 lbs. and will likely not be more than 15-20 lbs. when I’m fully grown. I didn’t have much socialization the first 3 months of my life, so I’m a bit timid when meeting new people. However, once I become comfortable with you, I will follow you everywhere. My favorite spot in the house will be curled up beside you or in your lap. Whenever I see my foster mom, I get all happy and my whole butt wiggles. My foster moms calls it my happy dance. I’ll be just as happy to see you once I get to know you. Also, I’m not one to brag, but when you pick me up for hugs, I give the best kisses. I’m nervous when I meet new dogs, but just like people, once I see they won’t hurt me, I want to be their friend. My foster mom says she thinks I’d love growing up with children, but anyone who can show me patience and love, will be perfect in my book. I am pee pad trained, and I’m getting started on learning to go outside to “do my business”. I’m also teething, so I may need some reminders on what’s appropriate for me to chew. If you’ll give me a chance, I know you and I will be the perfect match.
