The Beautiful Work

Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary - The Beautiful Work

I am a new volunteer with the Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary (BTAS) but not new to the mission of Beautiful Together. A few years ago, our family picked Beautiful Together as our non-profit to support for the year. Why, you may ask? Both of my children are adopted, so the original mission of Beautiful Together is near and dear to our hearts. And the new (and improved) mission of connecting the most vulnerable children and most vulnerable animals is well, simply, Beautiful.

I am Kristan, and along with Foster Support, I will be writing on this blog! My hope is to share heartwarming stories of children and animals impacted by BTAS, animal care tips for our amazing fosters, volunteer and foster spotlights, progress on the Sanctuary, and more!

Speaking of progress on the Sanctuary, the feature photo for this post is the Sanctuary. 83 acres of land that will soon be home to animals who would otherwise be in overcrowded shelters (until fosters or permanent homes are found).

For this introductory post, I will share two stories that happened last week, my first week of volunteering. I will say before I share my two stories that these are just two small things that happened. There are so many people who help BTAS do that beautiful work. A BIG shout out to all those volunteers, especially those “behind the scenes” volunteers that do not get very many shout-outs.

Kai was rescued on his last hold day at the animal shelter (whew!). This giant Great Pyrenees / polar bear look alike got some much-needed TLC at the vet and is adjusting well to his new life outside of the shelter.

Some tiny kittens needing bottle feedings found their way to two of our fosters. Bottle feeding kittens is an arduous task, y’all, so kudos to these special fosters.

Be sure to check out all the animals currently available for adoption

Interested in Fostering?

And, if you are ever interested in fostering puppies or kittens, so many would love a chance to leave an animal shelter and get to rest with you for a little while until they are ready to join their furever family.

Blog updates will be done on a weekly basis, so be sure to check back often. Our mission is to help vulnerable animals live a better life, and we live that mission each and every day!
