I'm ready for my new family!

Looking for a smart, active, and fun-loving partner in crime? Then look no further! Meet Kip, a handsome 1 ½ year old Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with a heart of gold and a mind that’s always working.

This guy is ready for an adventure. He’s a natural athlete who loves to run and jump and would excel at a job like agility, scent work, or even herding. He’s eager to please and super food-motivated, which makes him a joy to train. He’s already a pro at “sit,” “down,” and “leave it,” and is getting better at “stay,” “place,” and “recall.”

Kip is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He’s an early riser, ready for breakfast between 6-7 AM, but he’s also a great communicator who lets you know when he’s ready to wind down for the night. He loves things to chew on to keep him busy and calm.

Kip is a bit particular about his surroundings and can be barrier reactive, so he needs a secure, fenced yard to play in. He would also do best as the only dog in the home and with an owner who has experience with his high-energy breed.

A perfect day for Kip would include a long run, some mental exercise, and a good chew toy, all followed by a calm evening of getting his chest rubbed. If you’re an experienced dog owner with a love for an active lifestyle, Kip is ready to become your loyal best friend.
