Meet Our Amazing Partners!

We are so grateful for our partnership with World’s Best Cat Litter, whose incredible support has made an enormous difference for our rescue cats – and for our entire organization. Their litter is not only exceptionally effective at odor control and easy to clean, it’s also naturally lightweight, compostable, and made from sustainable, plant-based ingredients. That means a healthier, more comfortable environment for our cats, far less waste in landfills, and a product we feel genuinely good about using every single day.

This partnership is a true gift. By donating high-quality litter to our sanctuary and our foster homes, World’s Best Cat Litter helps us keep our cleaning routines efficient, our cat care standards high, and our resources focused on saving more lives. We are deeply thankful for their generosity, their commitment to animal welfare, and the meaningful impact they make in the lives of so many cats in our care!

Beautiful Together is proud to partner with VCA Animal Hospitals to give all our adopters extra peace of mind through VCA’s Healthy Start initiative. As part of this program, every pet adopted from our sanctuary is eligible for a complimentary initial health exam at any participating VCA hospital. If within the first 14 days your new pet is diagnosed with a common minor illness – such as an upper-respiratory or ear/eye infection, internal parasites, skin disorders, urinary-tract issues, or other minor infections or irritations – VCA will cover treatment and diagnostics up to a set amount.

This gives adopters a 14-day safety net to make sure their new companion transitions home healthy and gives us confidence that we’re supporting lifelong pet welfare. This is a national partnership, so no matter where our adopters live, there is likely a VCA near them that they can go to receive this benefit.

We are honored to partner with the UNC School of Social Work through a five-year agreement designating our sanctuary as a practicum site for graduate students in their dual Master’s/PhD program. This collaboration allows emerging Social Workers to gain hands-on experience in our animal-assisted youth programs, community support initiatives, and sanctuary-based enrichment work. In turn, their expertise and fresh perspectives help us thoughtfully expand our impact for children, families, and animals.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to compassionate care, innovative practice, and building a stronger, more supportive community together.

Beautiful Together Animal Sanctuary is proud to partner with Coco Bistro & Bar, a vibrant, plant-based restaurant founded by Tamara and Steve Lackey, the same co-founders of our organization. Since its beginning (first as Coco Bean, a coffee shop and bakery, in 2016 – then as the full plant-based restaurant it is today, opening in  2021), Coco has committed to giving 10% of its proceeds back to Beautiful Together. This is not only through direct financial contributions, but also through significant in-kind support such as waived costs, deep discounts, and donated food credit for events and programs.

This creative, ongoing model of giving strengthens our work in countless ways, helping us host meaningful gatherings, nourish our volunteers, and redirect more of our resources toward caring for animals in need. Coco’s commitment to sustainability, community, and compassion aligns seamlessly with our mission, making this partnership a deeply impactful part of our sanctuary’s story.,

We have been a proud Network Partner of Best Friends Animal Society since late 2020, a connection that has shaped and strengthened our rescue work in countless meaningful ways. From the outset, Best Friends offered guidance, resources, and encouragement that helped us grow from a small rescue effort into a full sanctuary with far-reaching impact across North Carolina.

One especially memorable moment in our early partnership was when original co-founder Faith Mahoney welcomed Tamara and Steve Lackey and their family for a private tour of the Best Friends Sanctuary in Kanab. Faith generously shared her wisdom, experience, and heartfelt advice, helping to inform how we built our programs, designed our spaces, and approached compassionate, progressive rescue work from the ground up.

We value our partnerships with Pet Supplies Plus Chapel Hill and Pet Supplies Plus Cary because they give our rescue cats a bright, welcoming place to meet the people who will become their families.

Their stores offer steady foot traffic, caring teams who look out for our animals, and a warm environment that helps shy or overlooked cats shine. This partnership not only increases adoptions, it also expands our community of people who care.

Feeders Pet Supply in Cary and Feeders Pet Supply in Raleigh have both become wonderful extensions of our rescue efforts, offering our cats a comfortable and engaging space where they can be seen, loved, and ultimately welcomed into new families. Their teams treat our animals with genuine care, keeping a close eye on their well-being and celebrating every adoption right alongside us. By giving our cats daily visibility in their stores, Feeders helps them connect with adopters they might never meet otherwise.
