Hi! My Name Is Buddy (what we call him)
Re:
My partner and I found a stray dog and we're able to keep him overnight until the sheriffs office could come over and take him to APS for the mandatory stray-dog hold. He isn't chipped, neutered, and nobody claimed him.
Although he was a sweetheart and we had zero issues when he was in our care, APS has marked him as aggressive and will not be listing him for adoption. We believe this was due to the stressful environment he was in.
Since we were able to handle him and had no issues (we had him from about 5pm until 10:30am the next day), APS said they would let us adopt him, but our landlord denied permission for us to have any animals within our home.
We have reached out to many rescues and shelters but nobody has the capacity for him. We’re on a ticking clock before he is euthanized this week. We are willing to adopt him through APS as long as we can rehome him, get him into a foster home, or find a rescue to help him.
