So You Want To
Adopt Your New Best Friend!

OUR PROCESS

Apply

1

We are so glad that you want to bring a rescue pet into your home! In order for us to find the right pet for you, we need to learn more about you. We ask you to submit an adoption application first so that we can begin this process.

Review

2

We will review your application as soon as we are able to do so. There is quite a pace to animal rescue, but we prioritize adoption applications, as the sooner pets can find their permanent family, the better! If we have any questions or concerns, we will contact you for better clarification.

Reference Checks

3

Once your application review is complete, we will reach out to you! We will also reach out to your vet, simply to get a better picture of your pet ownership history to date.

Finding Your Pet

4

Once approved to adopt, we begin to match you to the pet you are interested in, or another who would be a great fit for you. This primarily means reviewing rescue animals that are currently in our foster care program.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • We are a non-profit organization doing our very best to rescue as many animals as we can. Please be patient with us, as our dogs and cats need our time too!
  • All of our pets will be spayed or neutered before joining their families. In some cases it may be advisable to wait before they can undergo this procedure - if an animal needs time to recover from a medical issue, or if they are too small for the procedure at the time of adoption. In those cases, adopted pets must be spayed or neutered as soon as they are able to be, and we will book your procedure accordingly.
  • All of our rescue pets will be microchipped and up-to-date on all of their vaccines and preventatives at the time of adoption.
  • Please note that our adoption process is not complete until we receive a signed adoption contract and the adoption donation. We cannot hold pets if signed agreements are not returned in a reasonable timeframe.
