Opal is a total sweetheart. She’s about 5.5 months old and is still very much a puppy. She’s about 15 pounds and is estimated to be more than half way done growing already. She likely will be in the 20-30 pound range.
She’s still very timid and will need a loving, patient adopter to work with her on coming out of her shell. She keeps to her crate or her corner most of the time, but will come to you a little for the right treats. She does enjoy play time and will wrestle with her stuffies and rope toy on her bed. She loves kids and seems very anxious to meet and play with other dogs who are patient with her too. So far she has proven to be house trained and crate trained.
Opal doesn’t like to leave her spot, so walking on a leash will be a new skill for her to learn as she becomes less afraid of the big wide world. She does great in the car and doesn’t try to run away when she’s outside. She tries to go right back inside as soon as possible, but doesn’t seem to pose a flight risk and isn’t a door dasher.
We love this sweet girl and can’t wait to help her find her forever family!
