If you adopt Goldie (Rosie, Rose-Gold, Roo Roo, Goose) you will watch her unfold before your eyes.
She has a sad backstory: she was in a shelter in Virginia for almost 2 years, and when she came to us, she was almost completely shut down. An animal communicator we worked with told us she believes Rose-Gold spent a lot of time in the wild with little, if any human contact. As a result, she is timid, and meek, yet sweet natured, and food-motivated.
During her two months with us, she has gone from constant trembling when we are around her to moments of pure joy in our presence. On our daily trail walks, her tail doesn’t stop wagging! She is now exploring our yard and spending more time checking out the house and everyone in it!
If you adopt this sweet girl, you will get to watch her come back to life. We believe she will do best in a home with older (if any kids) - our twins are 16 and they are by far her favorite people - and she gets along well with our two golden retrievers. We believe she will do well in a calm home with other dogs. We are not sure how she will do with cats.
