He loves attention and is very food motivated. is mostly calm and relaxed but can be playful if another dog shows that they want to play. He has not shown interest in toys, but loves antlers and nylabones. Wilbur is a LOUD snorer and even snores when awake. He is doing well with training from me and knows basic commands, like sit and lay down. We do not feed him human food from the table, he does beg though and eventually lays down when he realizes he is not getting food. With his meals I am working with him to be calm and sit before placing his bowl down but he does get excited and bark initially. I have not tested him off leash too much, but he stays right next to us on walks and does not pull. Even walking in my fenced yard or mowing my grass he stays right next to us. He has shown some prey drive with my chickens so I'm not sure how he would do with small animal friends. He is a sweetheart and just wants love.
