Oakley is the sweetest of the sweet! He is a quiet, devoted boy who loves his people. He just wants to be by your side and hang out with you. Oakley is a 6 year-old mixed breed, likely lab/golden mix. He is a very gentle and an excellent companion. He is good with kids and dogs, and he is shy and friendly with cats (and he loves cat food if you accidentally leave it where he can get it!). He'd love a dog friend at home to keep him company when his humans are out of the house. He's also housebroken and let's you know when he needs to go out. Oakley loves to take leisurely strolls and is very polite to anyone who crosses his path. He walks beautifully on leash so you can take him for lots of adventures! If in a fenced yard, you just have to keep your gates locked as he knows how to open a latch to let himself out for his own adventures! We haven't found a toy he likes yet, but he loves a bully stick, sniffing around in the bushes with a friend, and he is very interested in squirrels. Though he doesn't love being left behind, he is a good boy when you are gone and will greet you with lots of love when you get back! He would love it best if you stayed or worked from home most of the time...and brought him with you wherever you go! He will be good, he promises! He doesn't jump on furniture and is content to sleep at your feet and in his dog bed beside your bed. Oakley is a very quiet, soulful guy...he doesn't bark and isn't destructive, he is just a gentle, loving boy who needs someone to love him and be his person. Please consider adopting Oakley.
