A loving mom, dog food connoisseur, and avid snuggler are all characteristics of this sweet girl. Jessie is estimated to be around 4 years old, but you would never guess by her manners, energy and zest for life. Miss girl had a rough go at it, she was abandoned in a house when her owners were evicted. Unfortunately, she wound up in a very scary and crowded shelter with her 2 babies. Since being brought into the rescue, she has been residing with her foster mom, dad and sister. Jessie absolutely loves to be close to her people, but is also ok alone for a few hours a day when her foster parents have to go to the office. She is incredibly gentle, even with her very needy babies who love to use her as a teething toy! Jessie is SO excited to be out of the shelter that she sometimes gets a bit jumpy, but she will offer a sit if she gets too over-stimulated. Her foster mom has been working on her leash skills, and she now knows how to walk and heel and only pulls when those pesky squirrels cross her path! She is also fully crate trained, and it will be very easy for her future home to continue working on commands and tricks as she is super food motivated. Jessie is a dream family dog, but may do best with older children while she is still figuring out that not everyone wants to be hugged when greeting her. Jessie can't wait to find her pawfect new family who will love her as much as she loves them!
