Hi! My name is Phoenix! I had a really rough life up until recently when I was rescued along with 41+ other hounds. Despite my past, I’m a big teddy bear but still a bit shy around new people.
I’m starting to trust my foster parents and it helps that they give me lots of love and treats! Wherever they go, I go! I’m basically their shadow now. What can I say? I don’t want to be left out!
I’m learning about all these fun, new things I never had before, like how to play with toys and run with my foster fur brother! Because of my past, I am a little nervous around male dogs and prefer female playmates, but I am warming up to my foster fur brother and learning that all dogs can be fun! I’d do best in a home with a fenced yard. I’m even walking all around throughout the day to make sure things are running smoothly in the house. I used to sit in the corner all day because I was scared, but I think I trust these people so I like to hang with them!
I like to sleep in my foster parents' room next to their bed so I can make sure they don’t get up throughout the night without me! I like to greet them at the door with a wagging tail and lots of love when they come home!
I also love the kids I live with because they share their food with me and like to play! They also cuddle with me while I nap, which makes me feel happy and loved.
My foster parents are so proud of me because I am a quick learner. I'm already potty-trained and great at meal times. I don't resource guard my food or toys and never bark or growl!
I would love to find my forever family because I have so much love to give and I'm told I'm a very polite gentleman. Will that be you?
