River is the sweetest dog ever, and when he gets comfortable, he will want to be around you and cuddle you all the time. He is extremely smart and wants to learn your routine so he can go right along with you! As a herding dog, he loves to run and can be independent, but he will always find his way back. He has had a rough past, but with a little extra patience and love, and lots of outside time he will really shine and show his confidence. He learns new behaviors and tricks very quickly so a family who can continue his training is ideal. He picks up on cues and habits very fast and will surprise you with his human-like brain! River loves his toys and will take them everywhere with him.
While he loves being outside and staying active, he is also happy to relax and cuddle on the couch with you. He loves attention and would like to be your whole world!
