Hi! My Name Is Spot

Looking for a laid back dude for relaxing walks and snuggles in front of the fireplace? Need a guy who's loving but never clingy? Spot is the perfect addition to any home or family.  This approx. 5 year old cattle dog enjoys exploring the backyard or just hanging out in the house.  Completely potty trained, will indicate at the door if he needs to go out, and easily goes overnight without a bathroom break.  Never chews anything except his chew toys (and he loves a really rugged bone or antler!) and can be trusted unsupervised in all areas of the house. Loves napping next to you on the couch, belly up and feet in the air :)

This good boy rides perfectly in the car and, although he is politely interested in other dogs or people on walks, he is fine with just going about his business without a fuss.  Doesn't pull or bark on leash and is calm in crowded areas like a busy sidewalk or outdoor eating area. He gets along well with other dogs. He has not shown any interest in our indoor cat and came from a situation where he interacted with outdoor cats without a problem. Currently enjoying a fenced yard with birds and squirrels to watch but his medium energy level is also suited for apartment living as long as he gets appropriate outings.

Spot is very smart and very treat oriented.  Learned to wait to have his feet wiped when coming inside after just a few days of rewards!! He is still working on taking treats gently as he gets excited but will sit and even give a high five. Spot is independent and happy to spend time outside or in another room but every once in a while he comes up and just gently climbs in your lap and lays his head on your chest for a hug to let you know that you are loved.  It is so sweet!

This lovable guy just needs a home to chill and a family of his own!
