Sweet Lovey will follow you from room to room just to be near you, and sit politely at your side until you pet her and the purring starts! Once a beloved house cat, poor Lovey's luck took a turn for the worse when the "friend" she was left with put her outside in a dog crate in rural NC where she was hot, scared, and confused. Thankfully, we were able to mobilize volunteers across the state to get her picked up and brought to our rescue, where she received treatment for her dehydration and a full veterinary check up. Now Lovey is learning to feel safe and confident again, blossoming under the loving care of our dedicated fosters. However, she is still looking for the special human(s) to give all her love.
