Our Orphanage Education, Medical Needs & Supplies Campaign is dedicated to supporting Kidane Mehret Orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We are raising funds to bring children educational programs and much-needed dental and medical appointment. In addition, we are purchasing ongoing supplies for this orphanage that currently supports over 85 children of various ages.
Our Beautiful Together School Programs at Kidane Mehret include classes in English, Math, Ethics, Computer Literacy and Play-Based Learning. Nine volunteers here teach pre-designed classes five days a week, along with additional activities coordinated for the weekends. Funds raised go towards classroom books, supplies and computer lab needs.
We purchase supplies that are best purchased from the United States and bring them over, then purchase the bulk of supplies in Ethiopia, to better support the shops, merchants, and markets in Addis Ababa, some of whom desperately need the business.
Dental and medical appointments are a combination of bringing children to dentists and doctors in Addis - and bringing practitioners to the orphanage for more general dental and medical health checkups.
