We'd never hosted any event on our 83-acre property before, and we were thrilled that roughly 500 of you who showed up and helped to make it such a magical day!! We were blessed with incredible weather and it was truly a day of festivities for all, from delicious food from Coco Bistro & Bar and Med Deli, drinks from French Broad Brewery, Romanz Tea and RTP Uncorked to our adorable puppies and kittens and rescue dogs (ours available for adoption but also alum and lots of guest pups!). The pumpkin catapulting achieved distances of 600 feet, and the games were so much fun!
A big thank you to the Whitecross Fire Department for bringing out their big firetruck and sharing rescue stories about all the stuffed puppies and kittens that were adopted. The UNC Cheerleaders and Stampeded of Love's Mini Therapy Horses were beyond adorable. The live music from Adam Lee Driver was awesome, too! Major gratitude to our volunteer photographers - Aditya Shankar, Garrett Mabel, John Osswald, Daylin Delgado, Maryclaire LaCaria - who shot some wonderful photographs, as seen below. We also got some great shots from attendees and our own team.
