2022 In Review: Looking Back & Feeling Grateful

As we finished 2022 and wrap up our year-end report, we’re looking back on how much Beautiful Together has accomplished.

It’s hard to overstate the amount of suffering, abuse and neglect that we see, and it’s pretty bonkers when you consider that we are often working with the sweetest and the most vulnerable of animals. I look down at some of these faces and just wonder how.

How do you leave a dog chained outside, no matter the weather, to the point where metal actually gets embedded into skin and how – well, that train of thought can go on for a while.

And it feels pretty rotten.

So instead, I’ll say how grateful I am for the incredible efforts of our day-to-day core team. You see a lot and you keep caring and doing more. Thank you. I’m incredibly grateful to our foster caregivers who have taken in over a thousand homeless pets while we worked to find them loving homes. And, for all adopters who choose to welcome rescue pets as family, thank you.

To those helping to build out our youth programs, thank you. To all leading Beautiful Together Clubs in local high schools, thank you. And to all who donate to support every one of these efforts, Thank You (ALWAYS helpful).

New Year Funds!

We are always welcoming those who wish to donate their time to help support rescue animals — volunteering or hosting events, working with our youth programs, helping with sanctuary building efforts, providing transport for the animals, and volunteering at our free animal rescue clinic.

And, of course, we’re always grateful for those who foster, adopt, and donate!
