We rescue abused, abandoned and neglected dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters and inhumane situations, and transfer them into our community-wide foster care program. We support them with holistic care, nutritious food, hands-on socialization, preventative wellness, comprehensive medical care – and behavioral training as needed. As we work to find animals in need of refuge their very own families, we connect them to children living in at-risk situations and underserved communities.
We believe that no animal should be mistreated, abandoned or neglected. We believe that no child should receive less access to opportunity than another.
We believe that patience, kindness and love can change everything for any living being.
We believe that animals can offer extraordinary joy, comfort and companionship to the people who care for them. And that facilitated pet therapy is a powerful antidote to loneliness, depression, and anxiety.
And we believe in the collective impact of all who work toward the day when no animal is euthanized for lack of a home — and no child receives less thoughtful care than another.
As much pain as we see in rescue work, there are always those rushing to help. We are always welcoming those who wish to donate their time to support rescue animals — helping with sanctuary building efforts, providing transport for our animals, volunteering at our free animal rescue clinic, volunteering or hosting events and working with our youth programs.
The more fosters we have available, and the more transport volunteers we have ready to go, the more animals we’re able to pull from shelters and other inhumane situations!
